VS Debate — Delete your account
Last updated: 2026-10-16
VS Debate (by Gino Kim) lets you delete your account and the data that goes with it. There are two ways.
In the app (fastest)
- Open VS Debate and go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Read what goes, type DELETE, and tap Delete. If you signed in with Apple, you are asked to confirm
with Apple once more so that we can end the Apple authorization too.
The account is deleted right away.
Without the app
If you can’t open the app or no longer have it, email ginkycompany@gmail.com with the subject Delete my
account, from the email address you used to sign in (or tell us your username if you signed in with Apple’s
private relay address). We delete the account within 30 days and reply when it is done.
What is deleted
Your profile and username, birth year, time zone, interests, rating and history, Sparks, Laurels, skins, medals,
friends, votes, notification settings, devices, and the email address and sign-in details of your account.
This happens when the account is deleted; we keep no backup copy of it for longer than the database provider’s
rolling backups, which are overwritten within 30 days.
What stays, and for how long
- Debates you finished stay in your opponents’ history and in the public Judge feed without your name. The
speeches in them remain as anonymous text, because the other person took part in them too. They no longer
identify you, and we keep them for as long as the debate is kept.
- Reports you sent, or that were sent about you, are kept without your name for up to 12 months after they
are resolved, to keep other players safe.
- Purchase records are held by Apple, Google and RevenueCat under their own policies, and by us only where the
law requires it (South Korean tax law: up to 5 years). Deleting your account does not cancel a
subscription: cancel Pro in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions.
