VS Debate — Terms of Use

By using VS Debate you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

  1. Who can use it. You must be 13 or older. Mature motions need you to be 18 or older and to switch them on.
  2. Your account. Keep your sign-in secure. One person, one account; do not sell or share accounts.
  3. Be decent. No hate, harassment, threats, sexual content involving minors, doxxing, spam, cheating, match-fixing, multiple accounts to farm rewards, or attempts to trick the AI judge or filters. Debates are for arguing ideas, not attacking people. We may remove content, restrict ranked play, or end accounts that break these rules. You can report content and block players in the app.
  4. Your content. You own what you write. You give us a licence to store, process and show it as needed to run the game: to judge it, show it to your opponent (cleaned of typos), and show finished debates in the Judge feed and in match history, also after you delete your account (without your name).
  5. AI judging. Verdicts, scores and hints are produced by AI and can be wrong. They are for entertainment and practice, not professional or academic assessment. VS Debate is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NSDA or any debate league. AI players are always labelled as AI.
  6. Sparks, Laurels, skins and medals. They are virtual items with no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money or each other, and are not transferable. Sparks pay for matches; Laurels buy cosmetics. Unused items are lost when an account is deleted. We may change prices and balances for fairness or abuse prevention.
  7. Pro and purchases. Pro is an auto-renewing subscription billed by Apple or Google. It renews until you cancel in your store subscription settings, at least 24 hours before the period ends. Refunds follow the store’s rules. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription.
  8. Ads. Free players may see ads, including optional ads that reward items.
  9. Availability. The service is provided “as is”. We may change, pause or end features. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.
  10. Ending. You can delete your account any time in Settings. We can suspend or end accounts that break these terms.
  11. Changes and law. We may update these terms and will tell you in the app for important changes. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
